Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's definitely not cranking, but it's not super small. Overall, we're seeing plenty of playful size waves!
The conditions are starting off pretty clean and glassy, with a combo of mostly decent west northwest swell and a touch of south southwesterly energy underneath it.
That recipe is providing some fast and crumbly sectiony lines, with some steep corners. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are running about knee to chest high, with the standout breaks pulling a few bigger sets.

At 7:45 this morning the tide climbs up to a 4.7 high, which wil have things starting off fairly inconsistent early to mid-morning. So, if you can wait for that tide to drop a bit, you should have some nice conditions, but get in the water before it eventually drains out to a 0.1 low at 2:12 this afternoon. Tide information comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
