Bomb Threat Briefly Locks Down Mira Costa High

Police deemed the threat 'not credible' and the school has since resumed normal operations.

A bomb threat locked down Mira Costa High School on Friday morning, police said.

The lockdown was initiated at 10:05 a.m. when the school received the threat, according to the Manhattan Beach Police department.

Police and school staff did a cursory search of the classrooms and school grounds and determined the threat was not credible. School resumed as usual at 10:30 a.m., 25 minutes after it was locked down.
