Boy Killed by Gunfire in Southbay ID'd as Johnny Delgado
Anyone with information about the shooting was urged to call the Sheriff's department.

A 16-year-old boy who was fatally shot in the Avalon Village area of Carson was identified today.
The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 23400 block of South Avalon Boulevard, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. No arrests were reported.
Johnny Delgado died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. His home town was not known, Winter said.

The teen “had been struck by gunfire several times,” Schrader said. The shooting appeared to be gang-related, authorities said.
