Busy LAX Parking Lot Shuts Down Over Woman's Concern
The investigation was prompted by a woman who called authorities to say her husband was not communicating with her, police said.

WESTCHESTER, CA -- A busy parking lot at Los Angeles International Airport was closed Monday as police investigated a vehicle after a woman called authorities to ask that they check on her husband.
Lot C, the airport's long-term parking lot, was closed about 3:50 p.m., officials said.
No vehicles were allowed to enter or leave until about 6 p.m., although the lot entrance from Westchester Parkway and a portion of the lot where the vehicle was located remained closed, according to Officer Alicia Hernandez of the Los Angeles Airport Police.

The investigation was prompted by a woman who called authorities to say her husband was not communicating with her, Hernandez said.
The airport police Emergency Services Unit, similar to a SWAT detail, responded and determined the vehicle was empty. That was not immediately apparent because the vehicle had dark-tinted windows, Hernandez said.

It was determined by 9 p.m. the man was out of the country and unharmed, the officer said.
Airline passengers and others who park vehicles in Lot C are typically ferried to and from terminals aboard airport-operated shuttle buses.
