Construction Worker Trapped in Hole Manhattan Beach

At about 1:30 pm April 10th, a construction worked attempting to attach a pipe to the water main in the 400 block of 4th Street in Manhattan Beach was trapped in the ditch when the pipe broke and the ditch filled with water up to his neck. Manhattan Beach Fire was called and subsequently El Segundo, Redondo and an Urban Search and Rescue team believed to be from El Segundo were dispatched. The man was freed after one hour and five minutes.
