Teen Center Spring Program In Full Swing

School is out—for a bit—and the Teen Center's Spring Program has a variety of activities and events planned for kids in sixth through eighth grade. The events are held daily from 10am-6pm March 29 through April 2.

Schedule of events:

  • Monday—Scavenger Hunt: Clues will be placed throughout Polliwog Park and the first team to finish all the tasks wins.
  • Tuesday—Sports Day: Soccer, Football, Basketball, and outdoor hockey. All things active and fun.
  • Wednesday—Beach Trip: The group will depart the Teen Center at 10:45am and return at 4:30pm. Attendees are asked to bring swimsuits, towels or beach chairs, sunscreen, as well as a packed lunch or money for Subway.
  • Thursday—Bumper Belly Day: Who will be the ultimate champion? A bumper belly tournament will reveal the winner.
  • Friday—Egg Hunt and Party: Find as many eggs as you can! One egg will have a special prize inside. Bring $5 for a pizza party lunch.

In addition to planned events, activities available at the center include video games, pool, air hockey, loud music, a climbing wall, pop-a-shot and more.

The cost of the week-long program is $19 to residents (teens living in Manhattan Beach, attending school in Manhattan Beach or whose parents work in the City of Manhattan Beach). If a teen is already enrolled in the School Year program, they do not have to pay for Spring Break or Winter Break programs. Nonresidents pay $75 for the program.
