• Manhattan Beach Observes 25th Anniversary of 9/11 (thembnews.com) — Manhattan Beach residents and city leaders gathered at the 15th and Valley police and fire facility Friday to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 at the city's memorial featuring steel from the World Trade Center. Speakers, including the mayor, police chief and a local firefighter, reflected on national loss, community unity, and the courage of first responders before closing with traditional fire service honors.
