Ex-Substitute Teacher Admits to Sex with 3 Teenage Boys

A substitute teacher at San Pedro High School pleaded no contest Friday to sex-related charges involving three of her male students and was immediately sentenced to nearly four years in state prison.

Superior Court Judge Richard Romero also ordered Michelle Yeh, 29, to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Yeh pleaded no contest to one felony count each of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16 and oral copulation of a minor under 16 involving a 15-year-old boy, and one felony count of lewd act on a child involving another 15-year-old boy.

She also pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count each of child molesting involving a 16-year-old boy and to violating a court order not to have any contact with the three teens by texting the 16-year-old, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Yeh became a permanent substitute teacher last February and pursued relationships with several male students that included buying them gifts, taking one to Disneyland and meeting another at a hotel, according to prosecutors.

Criminal charges were filed against her last August.
