Get Some Surf Before the Storm Hits
The surf picks up, but watch for those conditions to worsen as our weather changes.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, today is one of those days where you might be able to find a fun window or maybe not. Yep, we're seeing an increase in the action, but due to this storm, don't be surprised if those conditions take a quick turn for the worse!
It's semi-clean early on, with some spots already seeing some texture or minor bump on the water. As far as the waves go, we're seeing a mixture of energy in the water. We've got some modest south and southwest swells and some west northwest energy.
That recipe is making for some racy sectiony lines, with a few fun pick and choose corners. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about waist to shoulder high, with the top combo breaks seeing some larger sets.

At 6:22 this morning, the tide dropped to a 0.2 low, which will have many spots lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.1 high at 12:45 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. Good luck out there!!
