Gum Tree Finds New ‘Super Charming’ Space In Downtown Manhattan Beach
The store will transition into its new location in early April, the owners say.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Gum Tree has found a new Manhattan Beach downtown location after losing its lease, the store's owners announced Monday.
The home and gift shop will transition to its new space at 1140 Highland Avenue, about a block from its current location, in early April, the owners said in an Instagram post.
“The new space is smaller and super charming, similar in size to our Hermosa store,” the owners wrote. “I am so excited to create a fresh shop for you featuring our signature curated mix of quality beautiful product.”

Lori Ford told the Daily Breeze in December that she was searching for a new store location after losing their lease and hoped to stay in the downtown Manhattan Beach area.
“It’s really been an incredibly supportive community to us, and our store is doing great,” Ford told the newspaper. “It’s just that the new rent was out of our reach.”
The store will remain at its Manhattan Beach Boulevard location through March.
“We put all the positive thoughts out into the universe, and it worked,” the owners wrote. “Thank you for all of the kind messages of support you have shared with us these past few months. We truly appreciate it.”
