Man Found in Southbay Rail Road Tunnel ID'd as Anthony Martin
An autopsy was pending to determine the Hawthorne man's cause of death.

A man whose body was found in a tunnel area near railroad tracks in Compton was identified Thursday as a Hawthorne resident.
The body was discovered late Tuesday night near the Union Pacific tracks, close to the intersection of North Alameda Street and Rosecrans Avenue, according to Lt. Mark Lucio of the sheriff’s Compton Station.
The man was identified by the coroner’s office as Anthony Martin, 47. An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of death.

The death was being investigated by the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau.
