The suspect allegedly offered a girl candy and a ride home in October.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – Manhattan Beach police released security images Wednesday of a child annoyance suspect who offered a girl candy and a ride home.

The girl, whose age was not disclosed, was approached by the man on Oct. 29 near the 500 block of Valley Drive, said Kristie Colombo of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

She was "walking alone when an adult male walked up behind her and offered her candy and asked her age," Colombo said.

The girl avoided the man by running to a friend's house, the spokeswoman said.

Later, as the girl was walking home, she saw the same man inside a car, and he offered to give her a ride home, Colombo said. The girl refused and ran home.
