Former Christian TV Host Accused Of Threatening To Kill President Trump, Arrested In LA

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Los Angeles podcaster and former television host was arrested Thursday after a federal grand jury indicted him on charges of threatening to kill President Donald Trump and stalking the family of Trump's personal attorney.

Benjamin Azariah Southworth, 40, was taken into custody at his apartment in the Westlake neighborhood, KTLA reported.

Southworth faces federal charges of threatening to kill the president, cyberstalking and making harassing interstate calls, according to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli.

Prosecutors claim Southworth posted videos calling for Trump's assassination before targeting the family of the president's personal attorney by publishing their home address and phone numbers.

Southworth is also accused of leaving voicemails telling the family that "justice comes to your door," Essayli said.

"Threats against the president of the United States are federal crimes," Essayli said in a post on X. "We will not tolerate threats of political violence in the United States."

Southworth formerly hosted "The Remix," a syndicated television program featuring Christian artists, and currently hosts the "Yass, Jesus!" podcast, the Los Angeles Times reported.
