Manhattan Beach Kids Turn Extreme
Mud, water and a maze are some of the challenges in an obstacle course at this year's Kids EXTREME—check out the Patch video.
Children of all ages gathered at Begg Pool on Saturday for Manhattan Beach's third annual Kids EXTREME. A maximum 100-yard swim, 1k run and 200-yard obstacle course tested the youth's mettle. The Manhattan Beach Fire Department was also on hand to rinse off any mud-stained competitors.
"My favorite part of today was going through the obstacle course," said Olivia Hacohen, a Robinson Elementary fifth-grader. "I like how there's always something new ahead."
Awards were given out for each category.
