Manhattan Beach Police Arrest Alleged Burglars
Police say they were driving a stolen SUV when they were arrested.

Two young men were arrested in a stolen SUV, and a number of items believed stolen in vehicle break-ins were confiscated, Manhattan Beach police reported today.
About 3:30 a.m. Sunday, a Manhattan Beach patrol officer saw the Toyota being driven north on Ardmore Avenue -- with its lights off -- near Manhattan Beach Boulevard, said Officer Stephanie Martin of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
Police linked the driver and passenger to a reported car theft in the 700 block of 29th Street, Martin said.

The Toyota and several items were returned to the owner, but other items, including car keys, garage door openers, gift cards, a flashlight, headphones, clothing and cash, were held for safekeeping pending identification of their owners, she said.
It is suspected the items were the result of vehicle-related thefts in the 700 block of 29th Street, Martin said.

Arrested were Kevin Giles Rojas and Jonathan Hugo Hernandez, both 21- year-old residents of Hawthorne, she said.
