A bomb threat that forced the evacuation of customers and employees at a Manhattan Beach Target has proven unfounded.

Updated: A bomb threat that forced police to evacuate customers and employees at the the Target Store in Manhattan Beach was a false alarm.
Police cleared the scene by 4 p.m. Wednesday, allowing shoppers back in the store.
The bomb squad was called out to the Target Store at 1200 N Sepulveda Blvd regarding a bomb threat that was made via phone to an employee.

The surrounding neighborhood was not affected by the evacuation. Any suspicious persons or property should be immediately reported to 9-1-1.
