Manhattan Beach Toyota, Red Cross Hosting Blood Drive

Manhattan Beach Toyota will host a blood drive during the coronavirus pandemic with the Red Cross in Manhattan Beach on May 5.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The American Red Cross has urged people to donate blood during the coronavirus pandemic and in Manhattan Beach people will have a chance to give back and help hospitals save patients' lives.

Manhattan Beach Toyota is hosting a blood drive with the Red Cross at its showroom located at 1500 N. Sepulveda Blvd. on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"During this time, hospitals need all the supplies they can get to help them provide excellent health care to their patients," according to a news release.

"Manhattan Beach Toyota has improved its sanitation standards to make sure the that showroom is clean for the sake of shoppers and donors," according to the news release. "Hand sanitizer stations are around the showroom for visitors to use when they need it. The staff also practice social distancing and maintain high standards when it comes to the hygiene of the showroom."

You can make an appointment and help donate blood. Sign up at redcrossblood.org and use the sponsor code: MB Toyota. Donors can select the Rapid Pass on the Red Cross website to help expedite the donation process.
