Minimal Energy Creating Small Waves
Grab a log or fish if you want to surf today in Manhattan Beach.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's about time for a jumpstart! Yep, there's not a whole lot happening along this stretch of sand.
The conditions are mostly clean early on, with a pretty small combination of energy in the water. We're seeing some fading south southwest swell and minimal northwest wind and groundswell.
That's offering some pretty gutless lines, with maybe a few decent ones on a log or maybe a fish. Most of Manhattan Beach is hanging in the knee high range, with the standout breaks pulling some thigh to waist high waves.

Taking a look at the tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, at 5:39 this morning, it drained out to a 0.0 low, which will have many spots needing water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.4 high at 11:54 later this morning and then drops again to a 1.8 low at 4:49 this afternoon.
If you're going to get wet, you can most likely pull-off wearing a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. See ya in the water!
