Minimal Surf

You might want to find action other than surfing today.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you like the small stuff, then get out there, otherwise you'll probably want to sit this one out!

We're seeing mostly clean conditions early on, with a combination of some minor northwest swell and a little south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering some pretty soft and gutless lines, with a few workable ones on a log or a fish. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are seeing knee to thigh high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling waist high waves, with maybe a plus set every now and then!

Taking a look at those tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. At 7:33 this morning it dropped to a 0.4 low, which will have many spots in need of water mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.0 high at 1:40 this afternoon.

If you're wanting a salt water bath, then break out no less than a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
