MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — More than 2,000 people in Manhattan Beach lost power Wednesday morning amidst an anticipated continuation of rain and thunderstorms in the city, according to Southern California Edison.

The outage reportedly started at 10:40 a.m. and affected 2,236 people near the area of 1st street and South Herrin Street. As of 11:00 a.m., a field investigator was alerted of the outage and was on their way to the area to assess the outage according to SCE.

There was no timeline provided for when customers should expect to see their power return according to SCE's website.
