Motorcyclist, 30, Dies In South Bay Crash

The crash occurred about 12:10 p.m. Thursday on Prairie Avenue north of Artesia Boulevard in Torrance, police said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – A 30-year-0ld motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Torrance, police said Friday. The man died at a hospital after the crash, which occurred about 12:10 p.m. Thursday on Prairie Avenue north of Artesia Boulevard, said Torrance police Sgt. Ronald Harris.

Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives.

"Officers discovered that a blue 2017 Yamaha motorcycle ... had collided with the center median for an unknown reason," Harris said.
