Manhattan Beach resident Jennifer Temperley won the annual in Hermosa Beach on Sunday. The beginner-oriented race began on the beach at 7 a.m. on the south side of Pier Avenue. Athletes swam through the chilly ocean, biked 10 miles and finished the race with a scenic run.

Venice resident Tyler Willingham, 32, took home the overall prize in the men's division, while Temperley, 38, finished 22nd overall. (See attached .pdf files for complete results.)
