Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's looking like another day of playful size surf, so you can definitely break out any board today!
We've got nice and clean conditions from the start, with a combination of some new slowly increasing steep angled northwest swell and some smaller south southwest energy in the mix.
That recipe is providing plenty of workable lefts and rights, with a few good steep shoulders. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are running about knee to stomach high, with the standout breaks pulling a few chest high sets.

Taking a look at those tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, at 8:57 this morning, it pushes up to a 4.6 high, which will have many spots pretty full and inconsistent mid-morning. Your best bet is once that tide drops a bit, but before it completely drains out to a 0.4 low at 3:01 this afternoon.
If you're planning on paddling, well that water temperature has climbed up a couple of degrees, so throw on no more than a 3/2 fullsuit, with it averaging between 58 and 59 degrees. See ya in the water!
