Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you're getting an early start to your weekend, then get out there and enjoy! The surf has dropped a bit, but there's still a good amount of energy.
It's mostly clean from the start, with a combination of slowly fading west northwest swell and some new minor south southwesterly energy starting to fill-in.
That recipe is giving us some racy semi-wally lines, with some good rippable shoulders to snag. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about waist to head high, with the focal points pulling some overhead sets.

At 8:49 this morning the tide pushes up to a 5.8 high, which is going to have many spots starting off a bit slow throughout the morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 0.7 low at 3:11 this afternoon, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
If you're going to get wet, throw on at least the 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
