Police Searching for Redondo Beach Hit-and-Run Suspect
The driver struck a woman walking her dog, killing the puppy in Dec. 7.

Redondo Beach police asked for the public’s help Tuesday in identifying a hit-and-run motorist who struck a woman walking her dog, killing the puppy.
The woman and dog were struck about 7 a.m. Dec. 7 at Slauson Lane and Grant Avenue in northern Redondo Beach, Traffic Investigator Bill Turner said.
The woman who was hit told a reporter she was crossing the street with her 6-month-old terrier mix, Kira, when a car making a left turn ran into them.

“They didn’t stop. They just kept going,” Lindsay Harrie told KTLA. “Then I saw (Kira) in the middle of the road, bleeding.”
Harrie suffered a bruised knee and an injured shoulder.

The crash was captured on surveillance video and the victim told police the car was a dark-colored four-door sedan with tinted windows.
