Pretty Marginal Surf Out There

Not much going on in the wave department.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, I'd have to say that it's looking pretty marginal out there. There's a small to decent dose of energy, but those conditions are likely to deteriorate sooner than later.

The ocean surface is already seeing some texture on it early on. As far as the waves go, we've got a combination of swells in the water.

There's some residual northwest windswell and some smaller south southwest energy. That recipe is offering some crumbly sectiony lines, with a few decent shoulders.

Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to stomach high, with the focal points pulling some chest high sets. Taking a look at those tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, at 10:24 later this morning it pushes up to a 4.6 high and then drains out to a 0.8 low at 3:48 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, you can throw on a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. Good luck out there!
