Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, you better grab some of the action before the next storm. Yep, we're seeing a new dose of good energy, but don't be surprised if those conditions take a turn for the worse at anytime!
It's mostly clean and glassy from the start, with a mix of some building west northwest swell and some smaller south southwesterly energy in the water.
That recipe is making for some fast and fairly wally lines, with some good pick and choose corners. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are seeing chest to head high waves, with the standout breaks pulling some overhead plus sets.

At 8:11 this morning the tide drains out to a negative o.1 low, which will have many spots in need of water mid-morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 3.1 high at 2:48 this afternoon, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.
If you're planning on paddling, break out no less than a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!

FYI...The county health department urges surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to the likelihood of increased bacteria levels especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
