Government Interference in Religious Freedom

Federal Interference in Religion

And Secular Religiosity

Many of us remember long ago, when Religion was a part of Public life.  Beautiful Manger Scenes on the lawn of city hall, and The Ten Commandments posted in the local Public Schools.

Part 1

Sorry ACLU and Hollywood, but the phrase "Separation of Church and State" DOES NOT APPEAR in the First Amendment to the US Constitution, and in fact the words "church" and "state" do not appear there either. "Separation of Church and State" is only a contrived edict imposed on communities by fanatical secular humanists to perpetrate their own religious. (ie Statism as the only allowable religion)

In the years leading up to independence from England, most of the thirteen colonies had already established their own official state religions, and were leery of a proposed federal government that might attempt to lord over local religious affairs. On seeing that the proposed first amendment forbade federal interference in local religious affairs, the states enthusiastically signed it.

The REAL first amendment actually defines what congress is RESTRICTED FROM DOING, and says: "Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". In other words, Congress (a branch of the FEDERAL government) shall butt out of religion. Period. And when congress or the supreme court interferes with religion, they are engaging in treason and should be impeached.
Obviously, a better phrase than "Congress Shall Act to Prevent the Mixing of Church and State" to convey the intent of the first amendment is "Prohibition of Federal Interference in Religion."

Part 2
How do Secular Humanists (and the ACLU) pull off deceiving the public into thinking congress and the supreme court have a MANDATE to actively "separate church and state"?

The ACLU cleverly avoids citing the actual first amendment, and instead cites a contrived simulation thereof, which they have named "Separation of Church and State". They then claim that, based on their invented "Separation of Church and State" (which isn't really in the constitution), their fantasy constitution requires congress and the supreme court to actively "separate church and state".

The ACLU then lobbies congress and supreme court into disregarding the constitution. They cajole these federal government bodies into interfering with and "prohibiting the free exercise of religion" (inverse of 1st amendment), and into "making laws respecting religion" (inverse of 1st amendment) in order to "Separate Church and State".

Examples of this abuse of Federal authority is when the supreme court cites "Separation of Church and State" to ban local community manger scenes, or bans the display of The Ten Commandments in a local Public School.
