Size is There but Shape is Not
There's definitely no shortage of surf but it might be challenging.

Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing plenty of sizable surf, but we're lacking in the shape department.
The conditions are mostly clean from the start, with a combination of energy out there. We've got mainly modest increasing west northwest and northwest swells and not much southerly energy to speak of.
That recipe is giving us some fast and fairly walled lines with some scattered shoulders to snag. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are pulling chest to head high waves, with the standout breaks pulling overhead waves, with some plus sets.

At 8:01 this morning the tide climbs way up to a 5.7 high which will have many spots along this stretch of sand pretty full and inconsistent throughout the morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 0.8 low at 2:37 this afternoon, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
If you're going to get wet, throw on at least a 3/2 full or better yet a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temp hanging between 56 and 58 degrees. Have fun out there!
