South Bay Culture Club Makes Lasting Impact On Youth

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach-based non-profit organization Culture Club South Bay is resuming its spring programming, giving local youth the chance to learn and play in a diverse environment.
Culture Club South Bay works to unite youth and families through inclusion enrichment programs at the site of the original Bruce's Beach. This year from April 27 to May 18, all interested community members are welcome to volunteer and attend.
“I have witnessed the joy and the impact the camp has had on not only the youth participating but their parents along with our many volunteers and Team members," said Allison Hales, Founder of Culture Club South Bay. "Creating much-needed diversity in Manhattan Beach, giving access to underserved youth who don’t get to experience beach activities that locals do. It is also a wonderful opportunity for local youth to experience diversity in their backyard, creating long lasting memories and friendships."

The spring programming will include sports such as volleyball and surfing as well as other activities involving art, education and ocean awareness. Programming is led by community leaders, experts and speakers volunteering to engage youth in empowering activities.
During the program, kids will rotate between each activity to explore different passions, make friends and develop connections to the land.
