Surf Backing Down a Bit

But there are a few playful waves out there!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, the surf is continuing to back down a bit, but there are still a few playful size waves coming through.

We're seeing some fairly clean conditions early on, with a combination of mostly remnant west northwest energy and just a hint of residual southwesterly swell.  That recipe is offering some kinda soft sectiony lines, with a few racy shoulders.

Most spots in Manhattan Beach are seeing knee to stomach high waves, with those focal points pulling some chest high sets.

At 5:09 this morning the tide climbed to a 4.7 high which will have many spots pretty inconsistent early on. The tide then drains out to a 0.0 low at 12:49 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear that thicker fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
