Swimming to Win

Local youth swimmers compete in a league-wide meet at Mira Costa High School. Our photographer captured the fun.

Mira Costa High School hosted the Southern California Aquatic Association Summer Championship Meet on Saturday, Aug. 20.

All SCAA League teams were eligible for the league-wide swim meet, which included teams from South Pasadena and the Beach Cities Surfside Swim Team.

On-site observers say "there was lots of energy, lots of kids" and "awesome high-tech scoreboards that showed the kids' name,s lanes and running time and immediately showed the results after the race."
