Two teenage boys suspected of burglarizing a Manhattan Beach home were arrested after being caught with a backpack full of sports memorabilia, police reported Thursday.

A resident called police dispatch about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to report a “suspicious” pair crossing Manhattan Beach Boulevard at Aviation Boulevard, said Stephanie Martin of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.

Police in neighboring Redondo Beach detained the youths, ages 13 and 17, and found the loot, which was in the name of a resident whose home in the 1700 block of 11th Street had just been burglarized, Martin said.
