What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In L.A. County

Metrolink trains will run on a Sunday schedule with an expanded service to San Bernardino and Orange counties.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed Monday for the Memorial Day holiday.

Trash will be collected as usual in the city of Los Angeles.

Metrolink trains will run on a Sunday schedule, with service on the Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley and Inland Empire-Orange County lines. It's the first time Metrolink has offered expanded service on Memorial Day. Previously, limited service was offered on only two lines on holidays. Metro buses and rail lines will run on a Sunday schedule. Specific schedules for bus lines can be found on the MTA's website, metro.net.

The following Foothill Transit lines will run on a weekend schedule: 178, 185, 187, 190, 194, 195, 197, 269, 272, 274, 280, 281, 282, 284, 285, 286, 289, 291, 480, 482, 486, 488, 492 and the Silver Streak. No other lines will be running.
