ā¢ Marina City Council to hear economic development plan (montereyherald.com) ā Marina residents may soon see a new long-term push to brand the city as a gateway to Monterey Bay, with eco-tourism and downtown improvements at its core. Cal State Monterey Bay researchers will present a seven-year economic development strategy to the Marina City Council on Tuesday, outlining ideas from trail and park investments to a more walkable, visitor-friendly downtown that could bring millions in new tourism revenue.
