Knife-Wielding Attacker Grabs Female UCLA Jogger

The victims says her attacker was armed with a knife.

A female UCLA student who was jogging at the northwest perimeter of the campus was accosted today by a knife-wielding man who tried to sexually assault her.

The attack occurred about 4:50 a.m. on Veteran Avenue south of Sunset Boulevard, according to campus police.

“An unknown suspect grabbed her from behind and attempted to sexually assault the victim,” according to police. “The victim reports the suspect had a knife, but she was able to escape, and reported the incident to UCLA PD.”

Her injuries were described by police as minor.

The man was described as being about 6 feet tall, with a medium-to-large build, and he wore a black hoodie and black pants.
