Missing Swimmer Found Alive...Arrested for Party Crashing
A missing swimmer who triggered a Coast Guard rescue operation turned out to be a drunken beach house party crasher, police say.

A 19-year-old woman reported missing after she went into the ocean near the Hermosa Beach pier and didn’t return was found safe after she became an unwanted guest in a nearby home, police said.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public after she was discovered by the residents of the home, police said.
The woman was reported missing at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, prompting Los Angeles County lifeguards and firefighters, Hermosa Beach firefighters and the U.S. Coast Guard to begin searching for her.

She had gotten out of the water on her own and gone into an unlocked house whose residents were having a party. They found the woman, described as having bright pink hair. The search was called off at 1 a.m. today.
The woman would likely be ordered to pay something toward the cost of the search, police said.
