Eligible residents 62 and older will pay no more than 30% of their income in rent, but turning down an offered unit means removal from all selected lists.

The advisory also affects several other LA County beaches, and residents can check updated conditions via the county's beach hotline or online map.
   

3. 55 hospitals in Greater Los Angeles recognized for advancing quality care for heart disease, stroke (heart.org) — Residents should know Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital in Marina del Rey has been honored for following top-tier, research-based guidelines in treating heart disease and stroke. It's one of 55 LA-area hospitals recognized by the American Heart Association for improving outcomes and reducing disparities in cardiovascular care.
   

4. Two Hospitalized, One Detained After Stabbing at Marina del Rey Apartment Complex (smmirror.com) — Residents should know that two men were hospitalized and another person detained after a stabbing Friday at the Pearl Apartments on Via Marina in Marina del Rey. The same complex was also the site of a lengthy, injury-free shooting rampage in 2024, and some tenants later sued the owners alleging negligence over the earlier incident.
   

5.
