Contra County Fire Investigators say 14 residents have been displaced by an apartment fire that completely destroyed two units.

MARTINEZ - Contra County Fire Investigators say 14 residents have been displaced by an apartment fire that completely destroyed two units.
According to information in a tweet sent by Confire, seven other apartment units in the building sustained heavy damage in the blaze.

Authorities say there was one minor injury.
Investigators are estimating the fire damages to be about $500,000 at this time.

The two-alarm fire burning at a Martinez apartment building this morning has been reported under control, according to fire officials.
Contra Costa fire reported on Twitter at 5:20 a.m. four apartments were fully involved in a fire in the 1200 block Arnold Drive.
Firefighters said Arnold Drive is closed at Morello Street just east of Morello for fire operations.
Drivers should use alternate routes.
Further information about the cause of the fire and possible injuries has not yet been released.
