Earthquake Shakes Bay Area: Did You Feel It?

A quake jolted the North Bay at 9:44 a.m. today.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — An earthquake jolted the North Bay at 9:44 a.m. today.

The quake registered a magnitude of 3.7 with a depth of 3.3 miles, according to the USGS.

The epicenter was 4.6 miles east-southeast of Cloverdale, near Shellenger Road.

"One big wham. I thought it was a big truck on Franklin St. shaking the ground," a Cloverdale residents wrote on Nextdoor.

Residents south of the earthquake also felt the earthquake. "Made the house creek enough that we were about to leave the house," a Dry Creek Valley resident wrote.
