2 Ejected From Vehicle On Highway 4

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- Two people were ejected from a vehicle traveling on eastbound state Highway 4 in Martinez late this morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The crash was first reported at 11:57 a.m. on Highway 4 just west of Alhambra Avenue, CHP Official Kevin Bartlett said.

A Sig-Alert was issued at 12:02 p.m. because all lanes of eastbound Highway 4 are blocked.

Bartlett did not have any information on the condition of the people who were ejected or an estimate for when the lanes will reopen.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted off at Cummings Skyway, according to the CHP.
