2 Injured In Hwy 4 Morning Crash
The driver lost control and drifted across the highway's lanes before slamming into a metal guardrail, police said.

ANTIOCH, CA -- Two people were hospitalized with major injuries after a single-vehicle crash on state Highway 4 in Antioch early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A call came in at 2:50 a.m. about an Acura sedan crashing on the eastbound side of the highway near Hillcrest Avenue, CHP Officer Brandon Correia said.
Preliminary information indicates that the sedan's driver lost control and drifted across the highway's lanes before slamming into a metal guardrail. No other vehicles were involved, Correia said.

The male driver and a female passenger suffered major injuries in the crash.
They were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek and Correia did not immediately have any information on their condition. Investigators have not determined why the motorist lost control or
if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
