2 Suffered Minor Injuries In Hwy 4 Accident
One individual was partially ejected when car overturned after hitting guardrail , CHP says.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- Two people suffered minor injuries in a solo-vehicle crash into a metal guardrail late this morning on eastbound state Highway 4 in Martinez, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
An initial report by the CHP said two people were ejected in the crash, but only one person was partially ejected, CHP Officer Brandon Correia said.
The crash was first reported at 11:57 a.m. on Highway 4 about one mile west of Alhambra Avenue, Correia said.

The driver, a man in his early 20s, was driving a gray Honda sedan with a woman in her early 20s as a passenger when he lost control of the car, hit the guardrail and the car overturned.
The woman was partially ejected. Both occupants were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with injuries not considered life-threatening, Correia said.

Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a part in the crash.
All lanes of eastbound Highway 4 were closed for about 30 minutes and reopened at about 12:30 p.m., Correia said.
