• GVRD 'feels bad' for canceled Seaweed season, remains optimistic for 2027 (mercedsunstar.com) — Minor-league baseball fans in Martinez won’t see the Vallejo Seaweed this year after plans to shift most home games there fell through and the entire 2026 season was canceled. Vallejo’s Wilson Park needs over $1 million in vandalism-related electrical repairs, and officials say financial limits and security concerns blocked temporary fixes, though they remain hopeful for a 2027 return.
