Artesa Dental Celebrates with a Ribbon Cutting
A local dental office draws a happy crowd of supporters.
Artesa Dental celebrated its Martinez location with a ribbon cutting ceremony on February 10, followed by a Martinez Chamber of Commerce mixer. The happy crowd of well wishers included Mayor Rob Schroder, colleagues, friends, and many members of the Chamber.
Artesa Dental treats men, women and children, using conservative, state-of-the-art dental procedures and has been owned and operated by Dr. Amanda Backstrom since May 2010. Dr. Backstrom was born and raised in Georgia, graduating with a degree in Biology from the University of Georgia, receving her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston. She moved to the Bay Area in 2007, and in that same year, became an associate dentist at Artesa Dental. When asked why she chose to purchase a dental practice in Martinez, she said, "Martinez reminds me of a small town in Georgia. I just love the people here."
