Celebrate Arbor Day 2018 In Martinez

"Tree City USA" will host craft and flower-plating activities. Event is free!

MARTINEZ, CA –The City of Martinez, recognized since 2003 as a “Tree City USA,” is celebrating Arbor Day 2018 Thursday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Susana Park.

Park and Recreation staff will provide crafts and flower planting for Arbor Day participants. The general public is invited to participate in this celebration of trees and wildlife.

Martinez's “Tree City USA” designation by the National Arbor Day Foundation, demonstrates the community’s commitment to urban forestry and promoting the benefits of trees, city officials said. Residents are encouraged to support the principles of Arbor Day year round; reduce, reuse and recycle
