The teams from Contra Costa — made up of deputy sheriffs, officers from the Concord Police Department and officers from the East Bay Regional Park Police District— are among many public safety agencies providing mutual law enforcement aid to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office and Lassen County Sheriff’s Office in response to the massive wildfire.
"Mutual aid in California is a system that allows one county to assist another," Contra Costa Sheriff David Livingston said. "We are proud to be of service and it is our way to help devastated communities in Lassen and Plumas counties as they cope with this disaster."
