Coroner IDs Pedestrian Killed Friday Night
The victim was a 61-year-old Martinez resident.

A man who was struck and killed by a car while walking in Martinez on Friday night was identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office today as 61-year-old Ulmas Ahmedov.
Ahmedov, a Martinez resident, was walking on Morello Avenue near state Highway 4 at 8:22 p.m. when he was hit by a car, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car stayed at the scene of the collision and cooperated with the investigation.
Police said it did not appear the driver was intoxicated. Police are continuing to investigate the collision and are asking anyone with information about it to call Martinez police at (925) 372-3436.
