Did You Witness Fight At Mels Diner In Walnut Creek?

Police are turning to the public for info on the incident that left one person severely injured. A Pleasant Hill man was arrested.

A 24-year-old Pleasant Hill man was arrested for alleged battery in the early morning hours of Dec. 20 after law enforcement was called for a fight taking place at Original Mels Diner, according to the Walnut Creek Police Department.

Officers were summoned at 1:50 a.m. to the eatery at North Main Street and Cypress Avenue in Walnut Creek due to reports of a physical altercation underway, police said. One of the involved parties sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Bryce Halliday was detained nearby and arrested for suspicion of battery resulting in serious bodily injury, police said.
