Inquest Set In Death Of Man Fatally Shot By Police
The coroner's inquest in Martinez will look into the February death of Lloyd Harris.

MARTINEZ, CA – A coroner's inquest will be held today in Martinez into the death of Lloyd Harris, who died at the hands of Antioch police in February.
The inquest will start at 9 a.m. in Department 29 at the Wakefield Taylor Courthouse at 725 Court St. in Martinez.
The aim of the inquest is to determine by what manner Harris died. Police said Harris was wanted on a federal warrant and when they tried to take him into custody Feb. 8, he resisted and an officer shot him.

According to police, a BB gun fell from Harris's waist when they removed him from the vehicle he was in.
Inquests are held when suspects die and police officers are involved. The facts in the case will be presented to a jury, which will determine the manner of death.
